Presence Trumps Everything
Today gets a little more personal as I share a story of how God used childhood memories to call me into a deeper relationship with Him and teach me what This Wayfaring Life looks like.
My grandpa was my hero and I was his shadow. Wherever he went, I went--we were inseparable. He has been gone a long time but that framework of relationship set me up in the most profound way. It became the framework that has helped me work out what a personal relationship with Jesus could look like. A relationship not based on performance or fueled by fear or shame. A relationship of trust and intimacy. And it all comes down to Presence.
